Resume.io Review

About Resume.io:

Our first thought about this site was how much we liked its upfront pricing information, which is something not all sites provide. While transparency about pricing is a plus, upon closer inspection, the pricing model is a little awkward.

Instead of paying for a completed resume file, the user pays for a time-based subscription service. So if you use the service and find a job immediately, you’ll only pay $2.95 for a seven-day trial. If it takes you a little longer to find a job, you have to keep on paying. Access for six-months or 12-months,cost incrementally more.

We’d also prefer a site that allows you to create and keep your own resume document. This site allows a limited number of downloads based on your payment type. And, quitting isn’t east. Iif you decide the product isn’t for you, you’ll need to take several steps to cancel your plan.

Overall, the site is easy to use, but the resume templates are very basic and the site doesn’t offer much in terms of writing examples or guidance.

Resume.io Pros And Cons:

Resume.io Pros:

  • The site is transparent about the cost of using the services.
  • Offers  a tool that allows users to add unique resume subheadings for customized information like “Internships” and “Extra-curricular Activities”.

Resume.io Cons:

  • This site doesn’t offer many features, guidance, design tools or writing support that are worth paying for—especially when you’re buying a time-based subscription that allows limited downloads.
